"Nov¨¦li"
is a French word, which originally means the admiration of power.
The Chinese version is Lan Wei Long, which is both the transliteration
and free translation. Long (stands for the meaning of dragon) ,
the spirit of the universe, is Chinese people's totem."Dragon
divinity" is often used to describe a person to be full of
power and grandeur. There is a saying in China, which goes: you
can see the head of the divine dragon but not the tail of it. It
is well explained that dragons don't trammel themselves to the mitzvah
but pursue freedom and the heroic temperament. Wei, in Chinese,
has the meaning of power. Therefore, Nov¨¦li or Lan Wei Long, whether
in its native language or in Chinese version, both has the meaning
of power and vigor. |
